WOMEN'S DAY

The High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, greets the refugee delegation at The Global Refugee Forum Progress Review, 2025. ; The Global Refugee Forum (GRF) is the world’s largest international gathering on refugees. Held every four years, it provides a unique platform for stakeholders to demonstrate support for refugees and host communities. Rooted in the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR), each Forum is an opportunity for countries to take stock of progress made toward achieving the goals of the Compact and pledge further contributions. It is also an opportunity to share good practices and to consider the challenges and opportunities ahead. The 2023 Forum, co-convened by Colombia, France, Japan, Jordan, and Uganda and co-hosted by the Government of Switzerland and UNHCR in Geneva, highlighted the real-world impacts of collaborative global action. The 2025 GRF Progress Review builds on this foundation by reflecting on past pledges and identifying areas where additional support is needed. It also sets the stage for the next Forum in 2027, helping to sustain momentum for refugee protection and inclusion.
Collaboration-Focused
We are committed to active participation and meaningful collaboration in advocacy efforts that advance refugee-led approaches. We believe that sustainable solutions are built when refugees are recognised not only as beneficiaries, but as leaders, partners, and key actors is shaping policies and interventions that affect their lives.
